Just to let you know....

I've been so busy lately, but I did want to stop for a minute and let everyone know that the twins are doing good. Adam & Ava both are almost 5lbs and out of the NICU. They are growing and hopefully will be able to come home next month.

Chancelor and Layla are still running wild :) Summer is almost over and Chancelor will be starting the 1st grade. Seems like yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital. Wow...how the time flies. Layla will be 3 in just two months...where does the time really go????

I have had a little bit of time off during the summer to do things with the kids, and I have taken pictures, the problem is finding the time to edit them and post them on here. Hopefully soon, I'll do that.

This past Saturday I got up rather early...4:30 am, to go take pictures for my sister and her finance. I made myself edit some of those so that she can get some prints made so I am happy to share those on here. I hope you enjoy and until next time....God Bless you and your family!!!

God is Good!!!

I am in awe at what God continues to do for me and my family. My sister is doing well after giving birth to twins at 28 weeks gestation. The twins, Adam & Ava, are doing wonderful. They are no longer on C-Pap and are receiving fatty fluids through their iv's. Today they received their first meal of breast milk, and have done that wonderfully! Praise God!!! Last night we went up to visit my sister and the babies and I have more pictures to share with you all.

Here is a gift to Little Ms. Ava from cousin Layla & Chancelor...

The first picture is of a gift to Little Mr. Adam from cousin Layla & Chancelor. The next picture is of Layla, 2 years old, holding up Adam's hand. Just so you can get an idea of how small the babies are.

I'll keep you all updated on the improvements the babies make. I'll try to make more visits up to the hospital so that I can also update with pictures. My sister has been able to change both of the babies diapers and did a great job. Sherry was discharged from the hospital today and came home, because she has another child to care for. She'll visit the babies everyday and spend as much time with them as possible. Please continue to pray for both the babies and Sherry, as it's difficult to leave your children at such a critical time.

May God bless you and your family!!

Blessed

Its been awhile since I've posted a blog. I can't begin to explain how busy I am. Working from 8:30am until 5:30 or 6:00pm, Mon-Fri and leaving work Monday nights to go to a second job that keeps me until 8:00pm doesn't leave a lot of time. Between work and the kids I can't seem to find time for myself, much less blogging. I try to make up for it with pictures :)

Well let me try to tell you what's been going on. Well Chancelor completed Kindergarten, Tee-Ball was awesome, and we've done a few things as a family, pictures soon.

My sister Sherry was pregnant with twins and at 28 weeks, her water broke. That was Saturday night. They sent her to Greenville and were hoping to keep the babies from coming for a few more weeks. Yesterday, however, I received a call saying she was having contractions and they couldn't get them to stop. I took off....what a drive. I never thought I'd make it there in time. Praise God I did, and just in time. They were getting ready to take her out of her room to deliver. Wow! I'll not go into the details to much about delivery, but I will say that my sister Sherry is a TROOPER!!! She delivered both babies naturally. The little boy first. Adam, entered the world in no time. He weighed in at 2lbs 11oz. The little girl, Ava seemed to have turned breech during this time. The doctors stopped labor to try and turn her, but she was not willing to cooperate, imagine that. Well the started contractions again and decided to let her deliver breech with a team standing by for an emergency C-Section if needed. Finally, Ava made her grand entrance weighing in at 2lbs 9oz. Can we say TINY!!! Sherry, Adam, & Ava are all doing really well.

Here are pictures of Adam, isn't he just the cutest thing.
And here is Ms. Ava:
And one happy mommy
I want to thank everyone that prayed for my sister and the babies. Please continue to pray for them. Again, thank you so very much and until next time...God Bless you all!

Springtime is approaching

As springtime approaches I see signs everywhere. I love the warm weather that we've been having. Being able to come home and play outside with the kids, nothing compares to it. The other day I was sitting at my grandmother's watching the children play and just happened to have my camera with me :) This is what I caught.....
Last Friday Chance's class went on a trip to Papa's farm and I went along. Oh the things we learned. How to milk a goat.....
How baby goats eat from their mother....
How to make butter......
How to make a candle from bees wax.....
How to get dried corn off the cob to make feed for the animals.....

They learned about the different types of toys played with 100 years ago.....
They even made a toy that was played with 100 years ago.....
A hay ride is always fun.....
Visiting the animals......

The trip to the farm was fun....we learned that having a farm is hard work and although it was fun for one day.....we're glad that life doesn't have to be like that today.

Until next time...we love you and God Bless!!!
