Guess What???

This past week was a good week for all of us. Chancelor had a great week at school and made really good choices at home as well. I've learned that by making Chancelor feel he's made a good choice, instead of him feeling like he's forced to do the right thing, we get a better outcome. On Thursday of last week Chancelor's class went on a field trip to Mike's Tree Farm. They saw Cowboy Earl, the animals, and picked strawberries. It was a fun time!

Layla had a great week at daycare as well! I noticed on Tuesday night that she had some scratches on her face and thought that they came from our new little puppy, but later found out they were received from a kid at daycare. On Thursday morning I was talking to Layla's teacher and was told that she could tell a big difference in Layla from when she first started going to daycare. My sweet little Layla is defending herself more! I was also informed that Layla is a clown and wants to make everyone laugh. Boy am I in trouble when both of them start school.

This weekend Sheldon and I had a weekend to ourselves. Chancelor went to his dad's and my mom watched Layla. We went to Augusta, Georgia and watched Shon's game. We had a wonderful time. When we got back yesterday afternoon to pick Layla up I realized how much of a clown she's turning into be. She saw us and started showing off, just really acting silly. I called Chancelor while we were gone and he was telling me that he had gotten his hair cut, and his daddy got stuck in the ditch. He was telling me all sorts of stuff when all of a sudden he said, 'hey guess what?' With excitement in my voice I said what. He's reply was 'I love you!' Well, my heart melted and told him that I loved him too! I told him that I missed him and his reply...'guess what?' 'I miss you too!' What a sweetheart he can be!
This afternoon I received a phone call from Chancelor and could tell in his voice he was rather upset. He told me that the cat was dead. His leg was gone and he wanted me to see it. When I got home Chancelor was sitting at the table eating a yogurt. He heard me come in and just about broke his neck to get down from the table. He walked me outside and took me to where he found the cat, not getting too close he told me that his cat was dead, his leg was gone and his tail was gone. I'm not sure what he was seeing but when I saw the cat, he was very much dead, but his legs and tail were intact! Sheldon went out to dig a hole to bury him and Chancelor wanted to help. Chancelor told me that they were putting the cat in the hole so he could get to 'kevin' where God is. I asked him if he meant Heaven and he did so hopefully we got that straight. Now he's telling us that someone shot his cat, but we really have no idea what happened.

I hope you guys all have a wonderful week and until next time God Bless you all!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all those that read our blog! Hope that it was a great day for you all despite the rain!

Wednesday night on the way to church, Chancelor was sitting in the backseat with a coloring book. I'm not exactly sure what he was doing but he wanted Sheldon to look at it. Sheldon was not paying attention to him and all of a sudden Chancelor said 'Sheldon I need you to turn around and look at this..you need to learn it.'

We took Chancelor to another football game this weekend in Fayetteville. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. Chancelor really enjoyed the time he got to play with Dillion and was rather upset when we got home last night after midnight and he wasn't with us.

Layla stayed with my mom and they went out on the boat. Layla had a great time and once again upon our return, she can say 'I love you' It's really amazing to me the things she picks up on so quickly.

Today was Mother's Day and I had a great day with my family and kids. We all ate up at my Grandmother's and there was no way anyone could have left hungry. We came home and the kids, as well as the adults, took a much needed nap.

Finally, the kids are in bed and I myself won't be to far behind them. I hope you each have a wonderful week and until next time we love you and may God bless you all!!!

I got work on me...

So this week has been much like every other week of our life...BUSY! Between work, daycare, church, ect. we have been on the go. On Wednesday nights, Chancelor normally wants to stay with Papa, Sheldon's dad. Of course this past Wednesday was no different. Sheldon's dad had already called us and wanted to know if it was all right if Chance stayed and told me to pack clothes he could get dirty in. They were going to work in the garden. So Chance was really excited. On Thursday afternoon when we got there to pick Chance up, of course he was black from head to toe. He told Sheldon and I that he had 'the work' all over him. I guess that's the new thing when you are dirty.

Layla has this new saying 'hey boy' it's really funny to hear her say it, but let me tell you Sheldon HATES it! He said he was already going to have to worry about her saying that when she was thirteen and he didn't want to hear her saying that at 18 months. The other day I was telling her no for something and she informed me, 'I da baby' I replied back to her that she was a big girl and she stomped her foot and said 'I da baby' She already wants to argue. This should get interesting. She's always saying new things that sometimes I can't help but laugh. It's funny how fast they grow up. Sad actually! Oh well, that's what kids do!!!
We went to eat at the Mai Tai with Sheldon's parents Thursday night, and I was sure before we left that Chance and Layla would eat everything off the buffet bar. Those kids eat like there's no tomorrow. I finally took their plates for fear they were going to be sick.

So Chancelor went to stay with his dad this weekend and he always has something to tell me when he gets back. He got here and was asleep so I took him right
to his bed so he could get out his nap. When he woke up he told that his daddy took him to Walmart and while they were in there he told his daddy he wanted to go fishing. He said that his daddy told him no because Walmart was out of fishing poles. Chancelor said that he told his daddy he just saw some fishing poles and knew where they were. Well, his daddy told him that the ones he saw were to big, Chance needed a little one. You know how kids are, Chancelor told him that he knew how to use big fishing poles because he uses big ones on his Nana's boat. I was about to laugh when Chancelor got this serious look on his face. He said, 'mama my daddy tell a story about them fishing poles, cause I saw 15 of them in Walmart. That ain't nice is it?'

Until next time we hope you all have a wonderful week and may God bless you all!!!
