Pictures

I promised that I'd try to update with pictures so here I go...

Here are a few from Layla's Birthday

Layla's birthday was a great success, thanks to everyone that came to celebrate with us! Layla got some new dolls, a crib, a high chair, a stroller...and anything else you could possibly think of that would help a little girl take care of her dolls. Thanks to Aunt Heather for taking pictures...Uncle Nick for helping put things together...Nana, Papa, Mimi, Papa, Ms. Diane, Alicia, Breana, Holly, Hugh, Riley...and if I've forgotten anyone I apologize!!! Thanks.

Thanksgiving was great...we spent the day with Sheldon's parents and invited a couple of friends, Scott & Nicole. It was great!! Food was wonderful and so was the fellowship together. I took my camera and was sure I took pictures, but the truth is...I have no idea what happened to the Thanksgiving pictures so on we go to Christmas.

Christmas seems to get better each year. As the children get older the excitement continues to grow. I love it!! Chancelor is five and understands that Christmas isn't about getting gifts, but more importantly giving. He understands that Christmas is a celebration of Jesus' birth. Layla is two and well...she just wanted to see Santa Claus. We took the kids to see Christmas lights at the Meadows, baked cookies with Mimi, and had a wonderful holiday. Here are some pictures.

Baking cookies was fun!! I have no idea why the kids weren't sick after we were done. They ate so much cookie dough, inhaled flour, ate more cookie dough...well if you've ever had the joy of baking cookies with your children then you know what I'm talking about.

I hope each and everyone had a wonderful holiday filled with family, friends, love, and God!!!

As I leave I will ask that you remember our Pastor in your prayers as he goes through the trials that he as well as others in our church are going through. I ask that you pray every decision that is made regarding these circumstances are of God and that God's Will will be done in all the situations. Thank you so much!!!

Until next time....
God Bless you all!!!

Wow!!! Just letting you know...we are still alive :)

I know it seems as though we have gotten lost in cyberspace and for that I'm sorry. I've been so busy with life and all that comes with it. I've just gotten all my pictures off my camera and onto my computer. I mean I had pictures from October still on my camera. Just a little update.

Layla turned 2. Ethan broke his hand in boot camp and graduation was delayed. Thanksgiving was Great. Christmas was Awesome. New Years was filled with laughter. Ethan finally graduated. I'll post a few pictures from each of those things shortly.

I ask you to pray for a family who's blog I follow. http://noahandjulieroberts.blogspot.com/ They lost their sweet baby girl today. I ask that you pray for God to give them the comfort and peace that only He can.

I ask you to continue to pray for my brother Ethan as he serves our country. That God would continue to use him to His glory and would protect him from harm. I ask you to not only pray for my brother but all the men and women who serve our country. May God bless them and their families.

Thank you all so much who read my blog and again I apologize for the absence! Until next time we love you and God bless!!!

What a week!!!

On Sunday Chancelor had his first soccer game. It was exciting. The kids played really good for it being their first year of real soccer. For those of you that don't understand what I mean I'll take a moment to explain. Chance has played soccer for two years. The first age group that the children are allowed to play in isn't really organized. The coaches are on the field during the entire game, there is no score taken, there isn't anyone playing goalie, and there are no referee's. This year however is a different age group. It's just like real soccer. Although the kids played good on Sunday, our team lost 4 to 1. It was a learning expierence for coaches, parents, and the children. Our next game is Sunday at 1:30.
Chance has had a really good week at school and I am so proud of him. He brought home 4 bands on Wednesday and 5 bands on Thursday, hopefully we can finish out the week the same :) Yesterday Chance rode the bus home and refused to get off. I got a phone call saying that I needed to have a talk with him when he got home about getting off the bus, because the bus driver was about to take him back to the school. What???? The person that called said the bus driver was on the way back to my house, so I said that I'd have someone at the end of the driveway waiting for him. When Chance got off the bus and we got home I asked him why he refused to get off the bus the first time and he told me because it was raining. Haha! I told him that from now on when he rode the bus and the bus got to his house he needed to get off regardless of if it was raining.

The kids have enjoyed being outside this week. Playing with each other, playing alone, playing with cousins...it really didn't matter to them as long as they were outside. Thank God for the cooler, yet beautiful weather.

Lastly I'd like to welcome my newest niece into the world. Ariana Nicole was born on September 24th at 4:58am. She weighed 5 lbs 6 1/2 ounces and was 18 inches long. Remember her and her family in your prayers. She was born a month early but both baby and mother seem to be doing great.
Until next time....May God Bless you and your family!!!

Love ya!
