On Sunday Chancelor had his first soccer game. It was exciting. The kids played really good for it being their first year of real soccer. For those of you that don't understand what I mean I'll take a moment to explain. Chance has played soccer for two years. The first age group that the children are allowed to play in isn't really organized. The coaches are on the field during the entire game, there is no score taken, there isn't anyone playing goalie, and there are no referee's. This year however is a different age group. It's just like real soccer. Although the kids played good on Sunday, our team lost 4 to 1. It was a learning expierence for coaches, parents, and the children. Our next game is Sunday at 1:30.
Chance has had a really good week at school and I am so proud of him. He brought home 4 bands on Wednesday and 5 bands on Thursday, hopefully we can finish out the week the same :) Yesterday Chance rode the bus home and refused to get off. I got a phone call saying that I needed to have a talk with him when he got home about getting off the bus, because the bus driver was about to take him back to the school. What???? The person that called said the bus driver was on the way back to my house, so I said that I'd have someone at the end of the driveway waiting for him. When Chance got off the bus and we got home I asked him why he refused to get off the bus the first time and he told me because it was raining. Haha! I told him that from now on when he rode the bus and the bus got to his house he needed to get off regardless of if it was raining.
The kids have enjoyed being outside this week. Playing with each other, playing alone, playing with cousins...it really didn't matter to them as long as they were outside. Thank God for the cooler, yet beautiful weather.
Lastly I'd like to welcome my newest niece into the world. Ariana Nicole was born on September 24th at 4:58am. She weighed 5 lbs 6 1/2 ounces and was 18 inches long. Remember her and her family in your prayers. She was born a month early but both baby and mother seem to be doing great.
Until next time....May God Bless you and your family!!!
Love ya!

Kiss your brain!
Chancelor has started out really well at school this week. I'm so very proud of him. Last night we had soccer practice, which is always fun. He also read his first book last night. Yeah, I know...three weeks into Kindergarten and he's read his first book :) I was so surprised!!! Continue praying that his good behavior continues and he's able to learn all he can!!!
Ok..so to the title of this blog. After school on Monday, I was helping Chancelor with his homework. He was doing awesome, so I made sure I told him what a great job he was doing. He wanted to know if he could kiss his brain. WHAT?? I needed that to be explained to me, so I asked him what he meant. He said when his class is on carpet and they get the answers right, his teacher tells them to kiss their brain. So he kissed his hand and touched his forehead. Ha! Who knew? So be sure to kiss your brain daily :)
So a week ago I turned thirty. Ughh! Just kidding! My sister cooked for me and afterwards we had cake and ice cream! It was a surprise and I'd like to tell my kids, sister, wonderful boyfriend, and his parents THANKS!!!
During the day Layla asks a thousand times where her brother is. Where is Chance? My reply to the question is always the same. Chance is at school in his class. She's got it figured out. She now asks, where is Chance? So I reply, Where is Chance? She tells me at 'cool in cwas' How sweet!!!
So what do we do all day while Chance is at school? On Wednesday's Layla has dance. The other days, we stay home and do some housework, play with dolls, watch Elmo and Barney :) Our routine hasn't changed since Chance has started school, it's just not as loud. Here are some pictures of what happens when Courtney is getting ready for school and Layla wants to watch. Hope you enjoy!!
I hope all of you reading have a great week and may God bless you all!!!

Sorry for the absence
I realize that I haven't posted in about a month. After my brother left for Boot Camp, I started preparing my son for school. I've just been super busy and haven't taken the time to post, so I'll try and tell you the highlights of the past month.
So our church had a pool party for our youth before they started school. It was a great time of fellowship. I do believe that the adults had just as much fun if not more fun than the kids.
A few days before school started we took the kids to the park. We all had a great time. The kids had such a great time sliding down the slides, swinging, playing on the monkey bars, and even found a nice puddle of water to play in :)
I have gotten a few letters from Ethan and he's doing well and wants to thank everyone for their prayers!!!
I thought I had the pictures of Chance's first day of school on my computer but I don't so I'll post those another day! For those of you that read my blog, I'm sorry for not posting sooner, I'll try and do better from now on!!! God Bless You All!!!
